Human Trafficking Education

(Requirement for nursing professional; bi-yearly renewal)

Designed for health care professionals, the training emphasizes practical application and trauma-informed approaches to care. Upon completion, nurses will be better prepared to recognize vulnerable patients, respond safely and appropriately, and contribute to prevention efforts within clinical settings.  This free, two-hour, self-paced human trafficking training is required for all nurses and must be completed every two years. The course provides critical information on identifying indicators of human trafficking, understanding the nurse’s role in intervention, and fulfilling legal and ethical reporting obligations as dictated by Florida Statutes 464.013.

The course is designated for 2 Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) contact hours, and is free and accessible statewide.
