Basic Suturing Course

Learn the skills needed to perform suturing techniques required in most primary and urgent care settings. This workshop provides training and practice for both beginner and advanced providers.

This 4 hour lecture, demonstration, and hands-on workshop provides training and practice for both beginner and advanced providers in most primary and urgent care settings.

Objective

  • Identify need for laceration repair and recognize when to refer a patient
  • Prepare wound for local anesthetic and closure
  • Demonstrate wound closure
  • Formulate an aftercare plan
