American Heart Association HeartCode® Life Support Courses

Brief Reminder

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Courses

At S.H.A.R.E. we offer the AHA’s HeartCode® blended learning delivery of the BLS, ACLS, and PALS Life Support courses. The courses are designed for healthcare professionals and healthcare professions students who will lead or participate in basic and advanced cardiovascular life support resuscitation in a wide variety of in-hospital and pre-hospital settings. Participants first complete the online portion of HeartCode® course on their own schedule and then complete a hands-on skills session with one of our AHA Instructors, on-site at S.H.A.R.E. Participants must complete both portions of the course to receive an AHA eCard of Course Completion.

Each HeartCode® course includes a Provider Manual eBook that should be reviewed first and then proceed through the personalized adaptive learning path of the course. Each course is presented in the form of self-directed learning content, probing questions, and Cognitive Assessment Activities. Upon successful completion of the online component, participants will then complete a hand-on skills session that will include skills demonstration and practice, resuscitation simulations, and assessment. Continuing Education credit is available for licensed healthcare professionals from AHA for each of the courses. The online portion of the HeartCode® course must be completed before the skills session.
