Designed in a blended learning format, the NEXT 5 MINUTES series is presented as an online didactic course with an optional hands-on skills session. Enroll in one or more courses, or bundle all four. A certificate of course completion is presented for each course completed. Course series includes:

Why Should You Take This Course?
A neighbor runs to you severely bleeding, a relative is not breathing, a coworker has a severe allergic reaction, a family member is unconscious in the pool – what will you do? The NEXT 5 MINUTES is a special series of courses focused on management of life-threatening medical emergencies in those critical minutes before additional help arrives.
As a nursing or health studies student, or new graduate - family, friends, coworkers and others will turn to you in an emergency. You know first to call 9-1-1 but, what will you do until help arrives? How do you remain clam, assess the situation, and manage the medical emergency before you?
The NEXT 5 MINUTES emergency course series is presented exclusively by the Simulation Hospital Advancing Research and Education (S.H.A.R.E.TM) at the School of Nursing and Health Studies.
